tedi is the interactive digital television of Telecable. Telecable is the leading cable operator in Asturias (north of Spain), which provides television, mobile and internet services.

Telecable wanted to sell tedi as the best TV in HD and 4K with contents for everyone: football, premiere series, free video store, box office and more than 100 TV channels.

Only had a logo and a tagline to start the project: “tedi, the smart TV to watch football and TV”. When I started this work, we still didn’t have Netflix and HBO in Spain and there were only 2 main competitors: Canal+ and Imagenio (now Movistar+). Here I present a summary of the project.

My role was to create a digital identity, guidelines and a design system to share with the developers and suppliers based on the Atomic Design methodology.

I also designed all the components using the 8-point grid (multiples of 8 to define dimensions, padding, and margin of both block and inline elements).
